Connecticut Legal Services is a private, non-profit, civil law firm dedicated to helping low-income families and individuals obtain justice. The bulk of our work consists of providing civil law representation and counseling to thousands of low-income families and individuals each year.
We help our clients use the law to meet basic life needs.

Consumer Law Project for Elders
The Consumer Law Project for Elders (CLPE) provides FREE legal assistance to Connecticut seniors 60 and over who have consumer questions or problems. Seniors can call the CLPE Hotline with ANY consumer problem, including debt collection, home improvement, predatory lending, auto fraud and identity theft.

The AIDS Legal Network for Connecticut (ALN) is a collaborative project of the legal services agencies in Connecticut. We are a statewide program that gives legal information, advice, brief service, representation and referral to people living with HIV/AIDS in Connecticut. We also provide legal education and legal technical assistance to people working within the HIV service community and to family members/support givers. There are no other programs within the state offering legal case management services specifically for people with HIV.

Statewide Legal Services
Statewide Legal Services (SLS) is available by phone to clients throughout Connecticut. Generally SLS is the entry point for accessing legal assistance. SLS may provide advice over the phone, mail information, or refer clients to a legal services office or private attorney at no cost to the client.
